ABOUT US

Empowering Women
Enriching Lives

SLAM Society is more than just a community; it’s a movement that empowers women through meaningful connections, lasting friendships and personal growth, whilst providing a platform for businesses to prosper and expand their reach.

Founded by Toni two years ago, the group emerged from her personal journey as a new mum who had recently moved to the Sutherland Shire. Struggling to find balance between parenting and the need for adult connection, Toni faced the

all-too-common challenge of forging friendships in an unfamiliar place.

With limited time and energy, she found it difficult to connect with like-minded women and build the genuine relationships she craved. Recognizing that many women shared the same experience, Toni created Shire Ladies and Mamas -

a warm and inclusive space where women could gather, share their stories, and thrive together.

What began as a small group connecting over fortnightly coffee

catch-ups and playdates has blossomed into a vibrant

community of over 3,000 local members.

We've now hosted more than 200 events, 12 unforgettable getaways, created various sports teams and more, helping women form genuine bonds and create cherished memories.

With Toni's extensive experience in marketing and recruitment, expanding Shire Ladies and Mamas into SLAM Society was a natural evolution, blending heart with purpose. What began as a passion project has now flourished into a purpose-driven business built on strong values.

Today, SLAM Society provides a wide array of services, including marketing strategy, event execution, and innovative social media solutions - all aimed at driving business success and strengthening community engagement.

The Importance Of

Community

In today's increasingly transient world, where relocation and separation from loved ones are common, the need for community and connection has never been more pressing. As we drift further away from familiar support systems, it's essential to create new networks and friendships that can provide emotional support and stability.

The importance of community is often overlooked, but its impact on our well-being and ability to cope with life's challenges cannot be overstated.

Having personally experienced the pain of disconnection and isolation, Toni is deeply aware of the transformative power of supportive relationships. Those who stood by her during her darkest moments were more than friends—they were a lifeline, and she believes everyone deserves to experience that kind of connection.

She is honoured to play a role in fostering those connections, knowing that by doing so, she can help others find the same strength and support that once guided her through her most difficult times.
