TERMS OF CONDITIONS

 

Welcome to SLAM Society ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, social media, events, or services, you ("you" or "user") agree to these Terms of Condition.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION

1. Membership subscription options: - Monthly: $20, automatically renewing. - Annually: $149, automatically renewing.

2. Payment methods: All card payments and PayPal

3. Refunds: No refunds for partial periods.

4. Cancellation: Members can cancel anytime. Membership cancellation requires 30 days written notice.

 

EVENT REGISTRATION

1. Membership is open to individuals 18+ years old.

2. Event registration is subject to availability and payment.

3. Entry is at own risk. The right to refuse entry is reserved.

4. There are strictly no passouts.

5. No refunds or exchanges will be given on any ticket. Incorrect purchases are NOT guaranteed a refund and are at the discretion of the Promoter.

6. Your barcoded ticket is your ticket to the event. A printout or the PDF ticket displayed on your smartphone can be presented at the front gate to gain entry.

7. Your ticket will be emailed to you as a PDF attachment on your booking confirmation to the email address specified during the booking process. It will be emailed to you once your card has been successfully charged.

8. Slam Society reserves the right to withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and/or vary advertised event time and inclusions without notice. The Promoter reserves the right of admission.

9. Slam Society and the owner and/or lessee of the venue shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages sustained entering or within the venue, whether caused by the negligence of the Promoter or the venue or otherwise.

10. As members of the audience, ticket holders consent to being included in photos, sound and live recordings that are taken by the official Slam Society media team, and can be used by the Promoter or Promoter-approved media outlets for promotion of the event.

11. Slam Society event goes ahead, rain or shine. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

12. The right of admission is reserved and is also subject to the venue’s terms of admission.

​​​​USER CONDUCT

1. Be respectful and considerate in online and offline interactions.

2. No harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior.

3. No solicitation or self-promotion without permission.

 

CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

1. All content remains the property of SLAM Society or respective owners.

2. No unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution.

3. User-generated content: You grant us non-exclusive rights to use and share.

DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

1. We collect personal data: name, email, phone number, and payment information.

2. Purpose: Membership management, event organization, and communication.

3. We comply with Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

4. Your rights: - Access and rectification - Erasure and restriction - Portability and objection

5. We won't share your data with third parties without consent.

 

SECURITY

1. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data.

2. You're responsible for maintaining password confidentiality. 

 

DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY

1. We disclaim warranties of any kind.

2. We're not liable for damages, losses, or injuries arising from:

- Use of our services

- Attendee interactions

- Third-party links or content

TERMINATION

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend membership or access for violating these Terms. Governing Law These Terms are governed by Australian laws.

 

CHANGES

We may update these Terms. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.

TERMS OF CONDITIONS FOR EVENTS AND GETAWAYS

Welcome to SLAM Society! We are thrilled to have you as part of our social club, and we look forward to sharing memorable experiences with you. By attending any event or getaway organized by SLAM Society, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Event and Getaway Participation SLAM Society organizes social events and getaways for its members. Participation in these events and getaways is entirely voluntary. We do not take responsibility for any actions, incidents, or situations that may occur during any event or getaway.

  2. Liability Waiver By attending an event or getaway, you acknowledge and agree that SLAM Society, its organizers, and associated personnel are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or harm sustained during or as a result of participation in any event or getaway. This includes, but is not limited to, physical injury, property damage, illness, or any other kind of personal harm, regardless of cause.

  3. Personal Responsibility Each participant is responsible for their own actions and well-being during events and getaways. We encourage all attendees to act in a respectful and safe manner and follow any safety guidelines or rules set forth by event venues, getaway locations, or facilitators.

  4. Minors and Guardian Consent Where a minor attends an event, retreat or getaway, their parent or guardian must accompany them at all times unless otherwise agreed with SLAM Society in writing, and by booking on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms and Conditions on the minor's behalf and takes full responsibility for their safety, conduct and wellbeing throughout.

  5. Indemnification By attending a SLAM Society event or getaway, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slam Society, its organizers, volunteers, and any event partners or venues from any claim, loss, damage, or liability arising from your participation.

  6. Event and Getaway Changes SLAM Society reserves the right to change, modify, or cancel events and getaways at any time without prior notice. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to inform attendees as soon as possible.

  7. Website and Marketing Accuracy Information published on our website, social media or marketing materials is provided as a general guide and may be updated or corrected from time to time. Your booking confirmation reflects the final, confirmed details of your retreat or getaway.

  8. Health and Safety While we aim to create enjoyable and safe experiences, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good health and capable of participating in the activities offered during the event or getaway. If you have any health concerns, please consult your physician before attending.

  9. Special Requirements Please advise us of any dietary requirements, allergies, medical conditions or accessibility needs at the time of booking, so we can do our best to accommodate them.

  10. Guest Conduct SLAM Society reserves the right to remove a guest from a retreat or getaway, without refund, if their behaviour is unsafe, illegal, or seriously disruptive to the experience of other guests.

  11. Force Majeure SLAM Society is not liable for any delay, change, or cancellation to a retreat or getaway caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, political unrest, pandemic, or airline or transport disruption.

  12. Photography and Media By attending a SLAM Society event or getaway, you consent to the use of your image, video, or voice in any photographs or media taken during the event for marketing and promotional purposes, unless you specifically notify the event organizers otherwise.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A deposit is required to secure your place on any SLAM Society retreat or getaway. All retreat and getaway payments, including deposits and any instalments paid, are final and non-refundable, including in circumstances of illness, injury, personal circumstances or travel disruption. Payment due dates will be specified on the individual retreat or getaway listing and in your booking confirmation, as these may vary between trips.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance, including cover for trip cancellation, medical treatment and emergency evacuation, is compulsory for all SLAM Society retreats and getaways. Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance at the time of booking. We are unable to accept guests who do not have valid travel insurance. As a guide, we recommend Cover More Travel Insurance, though guests are welcome to choose any provider that meets the above requirements.

 

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

It is your responsibility to ensure you hold a valid passport, and any required visas or entry permits, for your destination. Any fines, penalties or costs incurred as a result of invalid or insufficient travel documents are your sole responsibility.

CANCELLATION BY SLAM SOCIETY

If SLAM Society cancels a retreat or getaway for any reason, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer their payment to a future Slam Society retreat or getaway. Slam Society is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by guests in preparation for a cancelled retreat or getaway, including flights, travel insurance, or loss of income.

THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS

SLAM Society retreats and getaways may include accommodation, transport, activities or services provided by third-party operators. While we take care in selecting these providers, Slam Society is not responsible for their acts, omissions or the standard of their services, and any issues arising from these services are between you and the relevant provider. Bookings with third-party providers are subject to their own terms and conditions.

By attending our events or getaways, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from participating in SLAM Society events or getaways.
