From beachfront markets and wine walks to live music, comedy, workshops and community favourites, there is plenty to get you out of the house and enjoying more of what is happening locally.

What’s On in the Sutherland Shire in 2026

Tradies Sutherland 2 Surf

One of the Shire’s biggest days on the calendar is back for its 54th year.


The 11-kilometre course runs from Sutherland to Wanda Beach, with thousands of runners and walkers taking part. Race it, walk it or simply head down to cheer everyone across the finish line at Don Lucas Reserve.


There will be food, music and that unmistakable Shire community atmosphere throughout the day.

Sunday 19 July 2026 Sutherland to Cronulla


Cronulla Winter Market

Make a weekend of it by the water.


Browse boutique fashion, jewellery, ceramics, art, handmade products, beach and lifestyle brands, along with plenty of great food, coffee and sweet treats.


It is exactly the kind of relaxed morning we love bringing my girlfriends along to.


Best for: Market lovers, families, foodies and anyone wanting to support small and local businesses.

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July 2026, 9am to 3pm Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla



Urban Wine Walk Cronulla

Grab your girls for this one.


Bars and restaurants across Cronulla will transform into pop-up cellar doors, giving you the chance to taste wines from Australian winemakers while exploring some of your favourite local venues.


Choose your starting point, collect your tasting glass and wristband, then wander your way through the afternoon at your own pace.

Best for: A girls’ day out, wine lovers and anyone who enjoys an afternoon around Cronulla.

Bundeena and Maianbar Art Trail

Held on the first Sunday of every month, the Bundeena and Maianbar Art Trail is your chance to step inside local artists’ studios and discover original paintings, ceramics, jewellery, photography and sculpture.


Catch the ferry from Cronulla and turn it into a full day out exploring Bundeena and Maianbar.

Entry to the studios is free, and everyone is welcome, whether you are a serious collector or simply enjoy discovering something creative.

Hazelhurst Made by Hand Art & Design Market

Hazelhurst’s much-loved market returns with a curated collection of local artists, makers and designers.

Entry is free, and it is always worth a visit.

California Dreamin’: The Laurel Canyon Story

Travel back to the musical heart of the 1960s and 1970s with a celebration of the iconic Laurel Canyon sound.


Performed live by The Beggars, the show features music inspired by artists including Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Carole King and more.

Illawarra Beekeepers Open Day

This free community day is genuinely fascinating.

Anh Do: The Happiest Refugee

Anh Do brings the story behind his bestselling memoir, The Happiest Refugee, to the stage.

Girls Gone Brunch

We are celebrating four years of SLAM with the launch of our new Girls Gone Brunch long-lunch series.

Expect beautiful food, flowing drinks, gift bags, prizes and a room filled with women ready for a fun afternoon out.


Come solo or gather the girls. We are taking over the entire venue for this one, and it is going to be such a beautiful celebration.

SLAM Walk & Talk Club

Join us for fresh air, gorgeous views and easy conversation on our weekly walk along Cronulla Beach.

It is free, pram-friendly and perfect for anyone wanting to meet more local women without the pressure of attending a formal event.

SLAM Women in Business

Our Women in Business events bring together local founders, creatives, professionals and women building something of their own.


There are no awkward networking exercises or forced pitches. Just genuine conversations, relaxed introductions and the chance to connect with women who understand the journey.


We host regular lunches in Cronulla as well as evening events in Sydney City, so keep an eye on the SLAM events page for the next date.
