There are several important developments coming that may significantly impact your business:
Monthly PAYG Withholding: From 1 July 2025, if your business withholds between $25,000 and $1 million annually, you'll be required to switch to a monthly withholding cycle.
Non-Deductible ATO Interest: Also from 1 July 2025, interest charged by the ATO on overdue debts will no longer be tax-deductible.
Payday Super: Starting 1 July 2026, superannuation must be paid at the same time as salaries and wages—changing how many businesses manage cash flow and payroll.
