Exciting News: Cronulla's Dunningham Park Playground is Finally Open!

Finally, the long-awaited moment has arrived! Dunningham Park Playground, located in the foreshore of North Cronulla beach, is now open to families for endless enjoyment under the sun.

This cherished playground, famous for its colorful play spaces and its proximity to the beach, has undergone an amazing transformation courtesy of the Sutherland Shire Council. The enhancements, part of the Playground Renewal Project, were created with input from the community and include:

🏗️ A new playground featuring a lifeguard tower with slides and climbing structures suitable for all ages

🎠 Improved play equipment suitable for a wide range of abilities and ages

🛝 A greater variety of swings

🌳 Soft fall materials and enhanced play areas

🍽️ New seating and picnic tables

💡 Upgraded lighting and beautiful landscaping

On a cool, breezy Saturday morning, it was heartwarming to see so many families gathering at the newly opened playground, marking its inaugural weekend. The joy radiating from children playing on the swings, slides, and jungle gym was infectious, spreading smiles among parents and guardians alike.

The community's positive response to the revamped playground was evident in the bustling activity and cheerful interactions taking place throughout the park, highlighting the importance of these recreational areas in improving the quality of life for families in the neighbourhood.

Dunningham Park Playground is located at Kingsway and Elouera Rd in Cronulla, and it's officially open!
