Girls Gone Brunch: Celebrating Four Years of SLAM Society

Girls Gone Brunch was more than just a long lunch.

It was four years of SLAM Society, friendships, new connections, women showing up for one another — and a very good excuse for margaritas, great food and a celebration at Isora Cronulla.

Seeing the room filled with women laughing, talking, meeting someone new and simply enjoying themselves was one of those moments that made me stop and think about how far this little community has come.

Four years ago, SLAM started from something incredibly simple: wanting to find other women to have a coffee with.

Fast-forward to Girls Gone Brunch and we had a room full of women doing exactly what SLAM was created for — finding their people.

A Day Worth Celebrating - Girls Gone Brunch

From the moment everyone arrived, the energy was exactly what we wanted.

There was beautiful food, cocktails, music, gift bags and plenty of conversations happening across the tables.

Some women came with friends. Others came on their own.

And that's one of my favourite things about SLAM events — you don't need to already know someone to belong in the room.

There is something pretty special about watching women who may not have met before start talking across a table, discover things they have in common and leave knowing someone new.

Girls Gone Brunch was about celebrating the community we have built together over the past four years, but it was also about creating more of those moments.

The simple moments where a hello can turn into a friendship, a collaboration or a connection that continues well beyond the event itself.

To every woman who joined us, thank you for being part of it.

Four Years of Finding Our People

When I think back to where SLAM started, it still amazes me what can grow from something so simple.

I wasn't trying to create a huge community — I just wanted to feel a little more connected.

Over the past four years, I've watched women walk into SLAM events not knowing anyone and leave with new friendships.

I've seen women support each other's businesses, travel together, show up for one another and become part of each other's lives.

That has always been the heart of SLAM.

Not networking for the sake of networking.

Not trying to fit into a room.

Just creating more opportunities for women to meet, connect and feel like they belong.

Girls Gone Brunch felt like one big reminder of that.

Four years down, it still feels like we're only getting started.

There are still so many women to meet.

So many friendships that haven't happened yet.

So many lunches, walks, escapes and ridiculously good afternoons still to come.

A Special Thank You to Our Partners

A celebration like Girls Gone Brunch is also made that little bit more special by the businesses that choose to support it.

We were incredibly grateful to have a beautiful group of brands come on board and help us spoil our guests on the day.

ALÉA brought a little self-care to the celebration, gifting guests a voucher towards their nail and beauty treatments.

Live Well Fitness added a wellbeing element, giving our guests the opportunity to experience their personal training offering.

The Ethereal Charm introduced guests to their fragrance range with perfume samples included in the gift bags.

The Bra Room contributed gorgeous bra bags and gave us the opportunity to introduce another wonderful business to the SLAM community.

DEVENI, created with shorter women in mind, shared a voucher and special kit with our guests.

GWAPA generously contributed full-size products from their all-natural skincare range.

For us, these partnerships are about more than what goes into a gift bag.

They are about introducing our community to businesses we love, creating opportunities for women to discover something new and building relationships with brands that genuinely want to support women and community.

We are so grateful to every business that chose to be part of the day.

Every time someone walks through the door, introduces themselves to someone new, brings a friend along or tells another woman about SLAM, this community grows a little more.

And that is still what matters most.

More connection.

More friendships.

More women finding their people.

Girls Gone Brunch may have been our four-year celebration, but it also felt like the beginning of the next chapter.

And we can't wait to see where it takes us.
